Who We Are

Generations Jewelers is a family-owned and operated business. 

Our Second-generation jeweler Steve Satow heads the shop. Steve specializes in complete jewelry rebuilds and vintage restorations. He has over 45 years of experience as a bench jeweler and has won multiple jewelry design awards. Steve graduated from Bowman Technical School in Lancaster, PA in 1976 and started in the industry working on repairs for his mom's antique business at Satow Antiques. This is where he gained his skillset and knowledge on restoring and repairing vintage and antique jewelry. 

Daughter and owner, Stephanie Satow - Higinio is a third-generation jeweler specializing in custom jewelry design and repair. She won the Johnson Matthey Sustainable Design Award in 2011 for her platinum engagement ring design. Stephanie graduated from New Appraoch School for Jewelers in 2007 but her dad Steve started her on the jewelry bench long before that! She is a huge animal lover and brings her best friend Moose to work everyday! 

Shaka Magarada Higinio, owner and Stephanie's husband, is president of marketing and sales. Shaka specializes in e-commerce, customer satisfaction, online presence and sales for our sister company Be Belize Company LLC.  Shaka is originally from Belize and enjoys returning to home to contribute to his community and stay an active member in his hometown. 

Keziah is our product phtographer and front of the house assistant. She is a BOI and enjoys everything Galveston! Keziah is a huge part of the sucess of our company and specializes in assisting in listing our online inventory! 

Moose is employee of the month, every month. He is a loving member of our staff and always ensures our safety and happiness! 

Moose's special interests are purple stuffed dinosours and dragons. He also enjoys a good bellyrub and long walks on the beach.
